Komgo strengthens its APAC expansion with the appointment of Sunny Lim

Komgo continues to expand its presence in Asia-Pacific with the appointment of Sunny Lim as Head of Sales APAC, marking a key step in supporting the company’s growth in a region where trade finance digitalisation is rapidly accelerating.

With more than 20 years of experience across corporates, financial institutions and fintechs, Sunny brings deep expertise in treasury, trade finance and supply chain finance, as well as a strong understanding of local market dynamics and client needs.

Throughout his career, he has held senior positions at DBS, where he contributed to the development of a global trade distribution business, before moving into fintech environments such as Hitachi, Bolero and Traydstream, where he further developed his expertise in digital solutions and innovation-driven models.

This dual experience, at the intersection of banking and technology, enables him to effectively address the transformation challenges of the industry and support the adoption of more connected and standardised solutions.

Asia-Pacific represents a strategic region for trade finance, driven by increasing demand for connectivity, visibility and operational efficiency, as organisations look to modernise processes and reduce complexity in their interactions with financial partners.
