Jacques Erni has over a decade of experience in the commodities sector. He joined BB Energy as Group CFO based in Dubai in August 2021 and is an Executive Director on the Board of the Group. As a member of senior management, he looks after Global Finance and Treasury, IT, Investments, Controlling and Accounting as well as the Credit department. Before that, Jacques was the Group CFO of Noble International Resources in Singapore for just under a year. Previously, Jacques served for 6 years as Gunvor Group CFO where he was an integral part of the senior management team and was responsible for the Group’s Strategic Planning, Trade Finance, Structured Finance, Treasury, Credit and Corporate Finance departments as well as managing the accounting, tax, controlling and human capital platforms. He was also serving on the Investment, Compliance, HSEC, Operations and IT committees. Prior to this, he worked 6 years as Gunvor’s Group Controller, managing the controlling and reporting function as well as the external audit process. As a Swiss Certified Public Accountant, Jacques has a strong background in audit and accounting, starting his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the firm’s audit department in Geneva. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in International Hospitality Management from the Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne. He is fluent in English, French and German. He has also been a member of the Swiss Fiduciary Chamber since 2006 and a Member of the World Economic Forum from 2015 to 2019.
